  • Where possible, leave bedroom windows open at night, so the air can circulate and won’t become stale.

 

  • Where possible, position the bed in the room so the mattress can get maximum natural daylight. This will help the mattress to dry-out from the body moisture we lose when sleeping.

 

  • When dressing the bed, the duvet or bed covers must be rolled or folded back towards the end of the bed. This will help reduce the levels of moulds and fungus within mattresses

 

  • Remove and wash mattress pads every three months and mattress protectors weekly.

 

  • Replace duvets every two years and pillows every year.
